Fabio Bellifemine

Fabio L. Bellifemine, PMP, is a senior project manager at Telecom Italia where he is currently responsible for the R&D Project on Technologies and Applications of Wireless Sensor Networks.
He is Director of Energy@home, a no-profit association founded by Electrolux, Enel, Indesit, and Telecom Italia with the aim of defining the communication infrastructure of the Home Area Network to enable new Value Added Services based upon Smart Grids.
His previous research interest was in the field of software agent technology. In this field he launched the JADE Open Source Project and he led the Architecture Board of FIPA, Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents, an international alliance of companies which developed technology standards in this field.
He is a senior member of IEEE, member of the Technical Committee on Distributed Intelligent Systems of the IEEE SMC Society, and of IEEE IES Technical Committee on Industrial Agents. He is also member of the editorial board of the ISRN Sensor Networks Journal
