Short-Bio


 
Franca Delmastro is a researcher of Ubiquitous Internet group of the Institute of Informatics and Telematics (IIT) of CNR. Her research interests are in the area of pervasive and ubiquitous computing including ad hoc, opportunistic and sensor networks, with particular attention to middleware solutions for context- and social-aware applications. She published several papers in international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters with special emphasis on routing protocols, mobile p2p systems, context-aware data dissemination and mobile distributed services for ad hoc and opportunistic networks. She participated in the organizing committee of several international conferences as IEEE WoWMoM (2005, 2006) and IEEE MP2P (from 2007 to 2010), IEEE AOC (2009, 2010), IEEE PerCom 2010, MNA 2011, CCNC 2011, CCNC 2012, PECCS 2011, PECCS 2012. She has been co-chair of IEEE Pervasive Health (PerHealth) 2010 Workshop, held in conjunction with IEEE PerCom 2010, and IEEE International Workshop on Interdisciplinary Research on e-Health Services and Systems (IREHSS) 2010 and 2011, held in conjunction with IEEE WoWMoM conference. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Communications, Network and System Sciences (IJCNS) and of the book "e-Healthcare systems and wireless communications: current and future challenges". In 2012 she has been co-chair of Work-in-Progress session of IEEE PerCom conference, Guest Editor of the Special Issue on Pervasive Healthcare of Elsevier Pervasive and Mobile Computing Journal and Guest Editor of a Special Section of Elservier Computer Communication Journal. She is Workshops co-chair of IEEE PerCom 2014 and she is currently co-responsible for CNR participation in EIT ICT Labs initiatives related to the Action Line Health & Well-being
